Many of you know Riley Greene from the website and pictures- he usually makes atleast one or two rounds of pictures a month. Inearly March 2009 Riley was diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). The doctors are very hopeful for treatment which will take place at Duke University starting April 6, 2009. Through many years of reasearch doctors believe a bone marrow transplant is the best treatment for ALD.
Please keep Teresa, Joel and Riley in your prayers. Teresa and Joel have set up the below webpage to keep everyone updated. You will need to register your name/email address for access.

Riley has been accepted at one of the premiere hospitals in the country,
Duke University’s Children’s Hospital, to start his aggressive treatment which begins with eight intense days of chemotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant. “Team Greene” will be displaced from the comforts of home for up to 114 days for the first part of his treatment and recovery, beginning Saturday, March 14, 2009.
The Greene’s have received many warm wishes from caring people all over the country and countless numbers have asked how they can help. As you can imagine, in addition to the emotional hardship, the Greene’s are now faced with the financial ramifications brought about from medical bills, travel, lodging, food, etc.
A Contribution Account at Bank of America has been set up to assist the Greene’s with paying for Riley’s medical and travel expenses. Bank of America branches throughout the country are ready to accept your gift of financial support.
